“Šargan Eight” is the most attractive tourist museum railway in Europe and is considered a unique construction masterpiece in the world among the narrow-gauge railway lines.
The track of 760 mm gauge width passes through the most beautiful mountain areas of Mokra Gora with 5 bridges and 22 tunnels. On the total length of the railway line, on the Mokra Gora – Šargan Vitasi route, in the length of 15.5 km passes the height difference of 300 m.
The train “Nostalgija”, which is consisted of the restored wagons operates during the summer and winter tourist season. It is convenient for organization of tourist trips, tours, excursions, as well as for filmmaking, filming of TV series, TV drama, videos, video clips, advertisements, etc.
The regular trains are hauled by diesel locomotives, and the optional steam or diesel locomotive is available according to the request of the transport users.
TIMETABLE OF MUSEUM TOURIST TRAIN “NOSTALGIJA”
Summer season: from April 1 to October 31, 2022
Route: Mokra Gora – Shargan Vitasi – Mokra Gora
– regular trains departing from Mokra Gora station at 10:30 and 13:30
Winter season: from December 25, 2021 to January 16, 2022
Route: Mokra Gora – Jatare – Mokra Gora
– Regular train with departure from Mokra Gora station at 11:45
PURCHASE OF TRAIN TICKETS
Train tickets for individual passengers, groups of passengers, coach lease, as well as train lease can be purchased at presale one month before the scheduled journey, at the earliest.
Train tickets for the train “Nostalgija” are issued by Mokra Gora passenger train station ticket office and sales points at the authorized agencies.
